Congratulations and Welcome to New Attorney Emily M. Reese!

November 7, 2023

ByrdAdatto is excited to welcome Emily Reese as the newest addition to our team of attorneys. Emily is joining our team following her graduation from SMU Dedman School of Law and successful passing of the Texas bar.

Emily has been a member of the ByrdAdatto family since May 2021 when she began working as a law clerk. Throughout her clerkship, Emily demonstrated immense dedication, passion, and talent in her work, a strong commitment to the core values of ByrdAdatto, and a dedication to delivering outstanding client service. As she takes on her new role, we are confident that she will be an excellent legal advocate who is committed to providing exceptional legal services and achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Emily brings a diverse skill set that stems from her unique educational background in business. Her path to becoming an attorney was inspired by observing her father analytically solving problems for his own clients as an attorney. While pursuing an undergraduate degree in business at The University of Texas at Austin with the goal of attaining a career in law, Emily discovered an interest in business. Her passion for baking led her to work at Nothing Bundt Cakes during her undergraduate years, further igniting her interest in the complex world of business. She quickly realized the power of working in a business she feels passionate about and learned the importance of a great customer experience. “I became an attorney because I enjoy solving problems that require critical thinking skills,” Emily shares. “My time studying business as an undergraduate and studying law in law school forever changed the way I approach problems from an analytical perspective.”  At ByrdAdatto, Emily now applies her passion for business and the ever-changing nature of healthcare law to help ByrdAdatto’s clients. She brings valuable insights to our team and clients through her understanding of both the business and legal aspects of the healthcare industry. Her background equips her with the analytical skills needed to dissect complex legal issues and develop innovative solutions for our clients.

Before attending law school, Emily received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin. In her spare time, Emily enjoys baking, Pilates, creating digital art, long-distance running, and going on long walks with her dogs. “Emily was a great clerk, and now we are thrilled to have her join us as an attorney,” said Michael Byrd. “I agree with Michael, it is awesome to have her join our team,” said Brad Adatto.
