“As the daughter of Mexican immigrants, I know firsthand the difference that access to competent and thoughtful lawyers can make. After all, attorneys cannot change the facts, but they strategically weave the facts to tell a compelling story.”

Emma’s journey working with partner Michael Silhol marked the beginning of her immersion in the complexities of business and health care law. Serving initially as a legal assistant, she developed a profound dedication to the business and health care sectors, a commitment further intensified by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. These experiences propelled her towards a legal career focused on guiding clients through transactional, regulatory, statutory, and compliance matters. A primary objective for Emma is ensuring clients’ confidence in moving forward with their business operations with a strong foundation of legal support and strategic insight. At ByrdAdatto, Emma’s unique blend of transactional proficiency and regulatory insight in the ever-evolving health care landscape enables her to simplify complex legal matters while ensuring clients’ compliance with relevant laws.

Outside of work, Emma is passionate about serving her community and giving back. She serves on the board of the Young Women’s Preparatory Network, a Dallas nonprofit that funds and supports public, single-gender, college preparatory high schools throughout Texas. Additionally, she supports immigrant youth as a decade-long volunteer with the North Texas Dream Team.

Her hobbies include road trips with friends and family, hiking, baking, and checking out the latest art exhibits and shows throughout Dallas’s art scene.
